Biography – Laurie M. Fagundes, CPP
Laurie Fagundes is a payroll industry veteran with over 18 years of payroll management experience. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and earned her Certified Payroll Professional designation in 1992.
Laurie has managed the disbursement function of large corporations having been the Sr. Disbursements Manager with responsibility for Payroll and Accounts Payable at Excite@Home Corporation, Sr. Payroll Manager at DHL Airways, Inc. and Payroll Manager at Oracle Corporation. Her areas of responsibility have included payroll tax filing in all 50 states plus the U.S. possessions.
Companies from 400 to 11,000 employees have benefited from Laurie’s payroll expertise, strong accounting background, and ability to analyze and improve workflows. Her contribution at these companies has resulted in the successful re-engineering of their payroll processes.
Laurie has extensive information systems experience and has managed a number of implementations, including an 11,000 employee payroll system conversion to ProBusiness, as well as acting as project manager for the outsourcing of a payroll department.
Her human resources experience includes heavy payroll and benefits administration and coaching and developing a staff of twenty-one. Laurie has been responsible for general ledger entries and account analysis of the 401k plan, ESPP plan, dependent care plan, medical reimbursement account, self-funded Medical plan, voluntary STD, payroll cash account and commission/bonus accruals. She has established corporate policies involving payroll and implemented several cafeteria plans.
Laurie has experience working with a variety of payroll, financial and reporting systems including Ceridian, ADP, ProBusiness, Kronos, Peoplesoft, Oracle, JDE, SAP, Crystal Reports and R&R Report Writer.
